This house runs on coffee. We've tried a lot of the HEB flavors over the last couple of months. Here are the ones you should definitely try.
How to use any ground coffee in your Keurig
Before we dive into the list, I have an important PSA. A few of HEB's coffee flavors do not come in k-cup form, but you don't have to go without. There's a solution!
Reusable pods. I'd heard of these for a while, but for some reason I never pulled the trigger. I sat, watching HEB pumpkin spice coffee come and go without being able to try it. But when Christmas in a Cup was sold out for a month in k-cup form, and yet the bags of coffee remained on the shelf, it finally pushed me into action.
Using reusable pods has opened up a world of possibilities. It's cheaper, it's eco-friendly, and you have access to more coffee flavors.
I found these Perfect Pod cups and filters at my HEB for $9.98, but I actually bought these on Amazon for $9 that don't require a filter and we've been loving them.
Try before you Buy
HEB sales some of their flavored coffees in mini bags. At only $1.29 each, these are great gifts to put in a mug, add to a care package or simply try a flavor before you commit to a full bag of ground coffee or box of k-cups.
I get at least five or six large cups of coffee out of these when I put them in the reusable pods. Making it about .25 cents per cup.
Now, on to the list!
Texas Pecan Coffee
Texas Pecan is a fan favorite, and rightfully so. It's nutty and smooth texture makes it one of the most perfect flavored blends ever.
Caramel Coconut Coffee
I have often raved about this caramel coconut flavor. I feel like it gets overlooked because the box is so obscure, but it's SUCH a good flavor. Don't ask me why there's an eagle on the box, it's one of life's great mysteries.
Christmas in a Cup
A winter season exclusive flavor that is just consistently amazing. Of the four Christmas season flavors HEB puts out, Christmas in a Cup sells out first. Especially in k-cup form. It's worth hoarding some to hold you over through February.
Taste of Austin Blend
"Medium bodied with a touch of Southern pecan and a hint of cinnamon." This blend has all the nutty goodness of the Texas Pecan, but with more than a hint of cinnamon in my opinion. The cinnamon flavor is strong, in a good way. This is my favorite of the city blends.
I don't always love flavors that include "sweet cream" or vanilla, but something about this one just works.
Taste of San Antonio Blend
Taste of San Antonio has cinnamon, chocolate and vanilla flavors. I was surprised at how much I loved this blend! It's very balanced.
Pumpkin Spice Coffee
Fall Flavors Limited Edition Pumpkin Spice coffee! Unfortunately, this tends to only come in bag form. No k-cup options in sight. But grab some reusable pods and you're all set!
Cinnamon and hazelnut. Lots to love here! If you're a hazelnut fan, try this one ASAP.
The Houston Blend has pecan praline and coconut flavors. It's much sweeter than some of the other blends, but definitely worth a try.
Hub City Blend
The Hub City Blend traditionally only came in a bag, but now has k-cups as well. The sweet cream and vanilla flavors aren't a favorite of mine, but boy does this have a lot of fans. It tends to be a favorite among my followers so give it a try if you do love vanilla coffee.
Creme Brulee seemed promising, but neither of us liked this flavor.
There's a whole series of Arabica Coffee flavors. Maple Breakfast, French Vanilla, Cinnamon Hazlenut and Dulce de Leche. We simply haven't tried any of these yet!
What's your favorite HEB coffee? Let me know!
